Qiru and Yu recently tied the knot at a small courthouse civil ceremony – making their marriage official before heading to China for the big celebration. Because shooting at the courthouse is not… visually engaging, they contacted me about doing an “after wedding” bride and groom portrait session in a more natural setting. Because they wanted both forest and beach environments for their photos, we started at Henry Cowell in Felton, California – then headed over to Natural Bridges in Santa Cruz for the sunset session. They are a sweet couple, and I loved working with them – I hope their Chinese celebration is amazing!

- About Chris (GoodEye)
- If you don’t think you have what it takes to look like one of the couples on this page – you’re wrong! With a little coaching and a couple shots of tequila (I jest…), you can get results just like all the other “normal” non-model people you see here. I’ve been shooting engaged couples for quite a few years, and I absolutely love it. It’s a challenge that I embrace – and let’s be honest, you two will be way more cooperative than a couple of cranky toddlers – right?
