We’ve all been there – you’re at (enter big-box-photo-studio-name), the kid running the place is making minimum wage and could care less how your photos turn out – and in fact has no idea how the equipment he’s using works. Your little ones are melting down, your smiles are forced, and “Pop!” the memory is captured forever. The first photo shoot experience for many families is typically bad enough that they don’t attempt it again for a long time, if ever. This is a travesty, because there are tons of independent photographers in the Bay Area that will not only create great photos of you and your kids, but can make the whole experience a fun one.
I have three kids of my own, so I know that those first five minutes are critical, so I am prepared to get the “money” shots up front. That way if things start going downhill, we’ve got the essential shots and everything else is gravy. I really enjoy interacting with kids, and feel like I have a knack for working with them. I’m not too bad with adults, either, and yes – I know all the tricks about how to minimize your actual age 🙂
This gallery contains my favorite family photos from this past year (2013) in chronological order, January to December. Sorry if you didn’t make the cut – there’s only so much room in this gallery. In the caption of each photo is the location – just in case you’re looking for inspiration for where to have your family photos taken!
Please feel free to comment at the bottom, I’d love to hear from you.
