I first met Michelle and Aren at their Palace of Fine Arts engagement session in San Francisco of April 2012. We clicked immediately – I think it’s a common zany sense of humor, or just the fact that we’re all happy, go-with-the-flow people – but regardless I felt a connection to this couple and it really helped the photo-making process effortless and fun for everyone. The wedding day was about 100-degrees at the Inn Marin (in Novato), but the bride was hotter. She still had the goofy charm that no doubt is what attracts so many friends to her, but she was downright glistening on her wedding day. Okay, so we all were, but Michelle was stunning in her simple, yet elegant gown. Aren and the guys were striking in their black suits and red vests, and the blue of the Bud Light cans brought out just the right amount of complementary color 🙂 The crown Jewel of the Inn Marin as a wedding venue is the giant (oak?) tree strung with lanterns and surrounded by a circular wooden deck. A rustic fountain nearby completes the idyllic setting for a wonderful wedding indeed.
A few things I’ll remember from Michelle and Aren’s Inn Marin wedding: cute in curlers!, the groomsmen and their engraved knives, Michelle’s emerald ring and her colorful bouquet, this adorable girl contemplating life next to the fountain, flowery-explosion recessional, romance in the garden, this dad man-handling his kids, Aren making some questionable moves on his plate of food, hand-rest head, the lemon jugglers, the totally awesome tear-jerker video made by the bride’s brother, Aren being Aren, the father-daughter dance, nose frosting, and of course that awesome tree.
I’ve selected a few stand-out photos from Michelle and Aren’s wedding that I feel tell the story of the day in the most compact and time-saving way. They are displayed on the photo boards below. If time is your friend, and you’d like to spend a couple hours perusing all the photos from their wedding, I’ve organized them just for you at www.GoodEyePhotography.com.
