I have nothing but respect for couples that choose to adopt children; it’s such a selfless and loving decision. John and Kathleen welcomed Adane into their home last year, and he couldn’t have asked for more adoring parents. Children can often be, um, difficult during photography sessions – but Adane had nothing but smiles and good nature to offer us today. We performed our family photography session at Lighthouse Field State Park and Dog Beach in Santa Cruz, California. Right now the field by the lighthouse is lush with tall green grass and beautiful white wildflowers and is a joy to shoot. Even Frank the dog behaved like a superstar for some of the photos.
