Rocio, Sebastian and 18mo Aiden are residents of Capitola, so it made sense to get some professional family portraits done near their home. We met downtown at Zelda’s and trekked to the east side of the beach, near the cliffs, for most of our photos. It was a quick session, not even an hour, but we ended up with quite a few keepers! Aiden was full of energy, and wouldn’t have any of that “sittin’ still” stuff, so we mostly got him on the move. He was enamored with the ocean, and took every opportunity to strut his little toddler-self seaside, prompting mom to run after him time and again. We’d chosen the time of the day based on low-tide, which happened to be near sunset anyways so must of the shots are all natural light, even though I had my portable light with me. The cliffs and cement wall, adorned with colorful green algae and other living “stuff,” made for some pretty stunning backgrounds and environments. I had a lot of fun catching some special moments with this family, Aiden definitely had me earning my money on this one 🙂 Thanks guys, you’re great!
