I met Dee and her twin sister way back in college, and thanks to Facebook we reconnected last year. We’d known of each others’ goings-on in a general sense through common friends, so she knew I’d gone professional with photography since the college days. As she was recently engaged, Dee contacted me to see if I was interested in shooting her wedding. Of course I was, and today was a fantastic reconnection with Dee and her sister Marnell – spending the morning and afternoon together on the most special of days.
Andrew and Dee share a common love for adventure and the outdoors, and their wedding location and decor followed this theme beautifully. The beautiful shores of Zephyr Cove Lake Tahoe, the redwood slab holding up the wedding cake, and the birch trees cut to hold the table place cards all worked together to form a rustic, yet exotically beautiful scene. And of course Andrew and Dee – honest, caring and very much sincerely in love – were the core component of this memorable day. I’m thankful they trusted me to capture everything in my own special way, and truly hope they are moved by my vision and execution of the photography.
